Staying Ahead of Anxiety: How to Support Your Student & Yourself During a Pandemic
The Community Awareness and Prevention Association is excited to collaborating with a host of community-based organizations to provide a series of virtual health and wellness topics for parents and community members.
The series will target a number of different wellness issues designed to connect parents and community members with local prevention resources, and to improve overall health.
We all know that stress is a part of life but when does worry become anxiety? This presentation will help parents and guardians recognize the signs and symptoms of anxiety at different stages of development as well as the importance of the fight or flight response.
The goal is not to eliminate worry but rather how to manage our anxiety response in healthy ways during especially uncertain times.
This presentation is a collaboration between Applewood Centers and the Community Awareness and Prevention Association and will be held on January 20 from 6:30-7:30pm.
